Mark McGuinness On What Motivates Creative People
My guest Mark McGuinness and I talk about the inner workings of creatives. Through our conversation, you’ll gain valuable insight into what really motives a creative person and what you can do to get the most out of their talent (or your own, if that applies).
Mark is a former psychotherapist who has been coaching creative professionals since 1996. He’s also a successful poet. His work has appeared in leading literary journals, and he was awarded third prize in the 2016 Stephen Spender Prize, the UK’s biggest prize for poetry translation.
In his coaching practice, he works directly with other creatives to achieve their artistic and professional ambitions. His clients include fine artists, commercial creatives, media professionals, stage performers, and entrepreneurs.
Mark is the author of several books including Motivation for Creative People: How to Stay Creative While Gaining Money, Fame and Reputation
He’s also the host of The 21st Century Creative podcast, where he interviews leading creators about their path to success.
